Processes we follow
CEMEC Engineering takes environment seriously. Our engineers ensure minimization of impact upon the natural environment to prevent any spread or release of contaminated or hazardous materials into the surroundings. Waste water is not discharged into the surface but a separate line is provided to discharge waste water to the existing manhole. In case of unexpected discharge of spill, a separate tray is made available at the site to collect and dispose the material in appropriate manner and as stipulated by the Environmental Department.

Care is taken to keep the noise level minimal. Crane operations are conducted in such manner as to not have an impact on noise. Waste material - such as packing materials of the products received at site on are disposed to the designated area approved by the company. We maintain a clean area all around our work activities to ensure that the environment is clean and hazard free.

Summary of contract quality plan development and procedure development and approvals is maintained. Summary of internal and external audits carried out are reported against the Audit Schedule. Listing of corrective actions for each Audit, and the current status and the planned dates for follow up and closing them are also observed and maintained. Areas of concern or weakness are identified in the quality system. Details of any investigations relating to non-conformance and any action to prevent recurrence of any Quality System failures are followed through. Summary of test and inspections carried out “on site” and “off site” and on sub-contractors is made available to the concerned staff in order to maintain the high level of quality that CEMEC is known for.

Documentation related to the quality system is available at the locations where work is carried out. We maintain the latest revisions of the relevant contract documents, drawings and specifications (ERDs, DEPs, HSE Manual), as well as procedure and work instructions at the location of work. A document control procedure is adopted to control the issue, distribution, change, review and withdrawal of all documentation.

A senior manager (as quality representative / manager) who shall have defined responsibility for the Corporate Quality System is nominated. We ensure sufficient Quality Assurance Inspection (Quality Control) and verification personnel to the contract to ensure that the Quality System, Quality Assurance and Quality Control are maintained throughout the contract. There shall be sufficient personnel to cover all disciplines, all Sub-contractors work and off-site facilities. The Quality assurance Engineer (s) and Quality Control Inspector (s) shall be based at the location of work and shall be independent of the work being performed. They shall have no other duties or responsibilities, unless prior approval in writing is granted by the Company.

Where elements of Quality Control are part of the responsibilities of production workers, the Supplier shall identify independent verification requirements and provide adequate resources. The Quality Assurance Engineer (s) shall report to the Supplier’s Contract / Project Engineer and shall also have a direct reporting function to the Supplier’s Quality Representative on Quality matters. The Supplier shall provide the following minimum QA/QC staff. The actual staffing level will depend on the work load, complexity of the work, number of disciplines working on the contract at any one time, number of Sub-contractors and most importantly the number of locations where work is carried out on site and off site. The corporate Quality Representative is not included and is additional.
